先日のワールドビアカップで見事金賞を受賞した有馬麦酒ジャパンエールは、多くのビールファンが「どこで飲めるのか」「どんな味わいなのか」と思ったことだろう。酒米と清酒酵母を使用したビールで、今のところ兵庫県の有馬温泉でのみ流通している。深い黄色で濁りがある。甘味をやや強く感じるが、後味でしっかりとした苦味を感じる。口に含んでから、リンゴ、そしてほんのりとしたバナナの香りを感じる。淡口醤油と合わせれば塩味でビールの甘味をよりはっきりと感じられるだろうし、濃口と合わせればバナナ香の高まり合いが得られよう。阪急のバス停の目の前の酒屋で午前9時から楽しめるが、今後はさらに広い地域への展開も期待される。
